Stand-Alone and Together

Nothing is absolute in this world .And still most of the time we are afraid to express ourselves freely for the fear of what others will think. But when the fear of societal boycott and rules and regulations is surpassed by the threat of our thoughts and distinguished identities dying an untimely death is when we must decide to speak up and let the consequences be damned . It would be a revolting decision but at least it is going to be a battle that we decide to fight. Other instance when we must speak is when something or some act doesn't fit in the definition of right and wrong . When there is something wrong happening in front of our eyes we take a lot of things into consideration before acting ,which is normal for we cannot enter blindly into a fight without knowing what we are fighting for, what will be the outcome or the possible outcome and what can be the consequences.

Our moral compass keeps fluctuating from one end to the other depending on the situation and people involved in it . We humans are social animals and our emotions, intellect, beliefs, thoughts, ideas of right and wrong , our capacity to do things, upbringing, social factors, history and even geography becomes a deciding factor in which way our morality will go. All these factors affect us and shape our actions. We are all affected by everything around us and in turn we create such a ripple with our actions that affects the society back and then the cycle goes on and somewhere between all this we forget to keep in check what's right and what's wrong . This cycle and it is almost impossible to walk out of its gravitational field and set an example, but then even the physics of gravity has certain loopholes. It's good to hold your customs, traditions, beliefs and faith dear but it's necessary to respect others beliefs too. 0nly then you will be able to take a stand when you see something wrong happening for you will be aware of a simple fact that everyone is equal and you are not better or worse than anyone. People are just different and in your definition of the word different there will be no absolute superiority or inferiority to anyone and finally you will speak up where you need to. You will know more be afraid or in a fix whether to take action or not if something is not right. You will no more take into consideration cast, creed, colour, religion, and sex  before deciding to do something against anything wrong. Accepting that we are all different and still entitled to speak up for each other Is what we all need. We need to act like humans , for what affects humanity will surely affect us individually, so speaking up and standing up for each other is important.
