Our Forces Are Not Expendable

Our soldiers and police force  are the reason we live peacefully in our homes. When the war Clarion's are clanged they are the first ones to respond. They live in harsh condition in lonely places and protect our borders from outside threats .And when and if time requires they play their part in our country's  internal security as well. The same way our Police force protects us from dangers within. It works with one hand tied behind it's back and in the other hand they carry the responsibility of keeping every single house safe in the city,but as we know evil has a habit of wearing masks of familiarity, well being,false love and affection, and much more. It is almost impossible to differentiate foe from friend nowadays. And we expect our police and soilders to be vigilant and quick in their response while we ourselves neglect our basic responsibility as a citizen of our country. Yes,there is corruption …. not just in police force but in every field,there is corruption in every institution .It becomes more serious a problem in police force as they are the basic unit of an institution that is endowed with responsibility and powers to serve justice to every citizen of the country. If they will falter , entire system will fallout .So, it's our duty as responsible citizens to respect and value the work done by our soilders and police force and help them in every way possible. Our police force don't just require to know the criminal but the crimes as well and yes they are two different things.
Another thing to notice is that our police is highly overworked and underpaid .There is a lack of man power  in police force .Recruiting women adequately can be a solution to this problem. Police cannot work properly under the stress both physical and mental. There are hardly any leaves ,in fact they have work to the extent of twenty four hours a day in the times of festivities and sometimes even more often. This takes a toll on them both mentally and physically and in turn results in inefficiency .
They get a physical  training and how to fight different situations like how to tackle a terrorist situation, a riot ,patrolling ,and other crimes. But they need a psychological training as well,they need to have an insight how a certain criminal's mind works ,why does it work that way and how to get to such criminals and prevent them from being a menace to society.
Now it comes to the equipment ,our police requires better and more efficient arms and other necessary equipments like vehicles , facilities in police stations, etc. This is required at the base level ,it is important that the smallest unit of our police and military force  are better equipped .Because they are most important part and most needed part of our police and military and yet the most neglected ones.
There is a need of regular evaluation of our police force, regular training and test ,etc.
Now, despite everything there will still be adverse situations because we humans have certain basic animal instincts which can force a human to become gruesome, and even devolve him to a cruel animal or beast. Our forces need to be prepared for such situations,taught how to reach out to them without force and brutality if possible.
Now, let's talk about our databases,we need to have a proper criminal and crimes database to recognise certain patterns of crimes and criminals so that proper surveillance of criminals who have served their time and still can be a threat to society can be done.
Much talked 'Adhar Card' system that the current government has introduced can play a very important role in catching criminals if used properly,a person would at least think twice before committing any crime . This can help police in better surveillance and protection .This can also help in creating a database that can prove to be extremely helpful to our police force .And if cases are properly recorded they can help in teaching the future police generations through case studies and in turn create even a better police force.
It is nearly impossible to create a crime less state,but a better equipped, properly trained,  agile , vigilant, and compassionate police force and military can reduce crime to a great extent. And most importantly we need to remember and realise that our police and military are not expendable ,they a necessary and much needed part of our society. It is our duty to tell them that we know this fact and respect them for their work and most importantly trust them with our security ,though it is indeed a two way road but we will have to start somewhere and maybe we'll meet somewhere in the middle.
